Hey friend, before the day gets away from you completely — pause here for just a second.
Whatever today held, good or hard or somewhere in between, you don’t have to carry it into your sleep. “In peace I will both lie down and sleep; for you alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety” (Psalm 4:8). That’s a promise, not a suggestion. You’re allowed to actually rest.
So tonight, try setting the phone down a few minutes early. Name one thing that was hard today and hand it over. Name one thing that was good and say thank you for it. That’s it. That’s the whole practice.
If your mind tends to race the second your head hits the pillow, my Still, Small Voice ebook has some gentle practices for quieting the noise and listening for Him instead. And if you’ve been wanting a rhythm of meeting God daily — mornings or nights — Grace Unfolding is right there waiting for you whenever you’re ready to start.
You did enough today. You were enough today. Let tomorrow be tomorrow’s.
I’m over on Instagram @mommajscozycottage if you want to say goodnight.
With so much love,
Momma J 🤍
